PTI Postpones Long March to October 4 Amid Political Tensions and Security Measures

PTI has postponed its planned long march from September 27 to October 4, with KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announcing the revised date at a press conference in Peshawar.

Afridi said the march would focus on the Constitution, an independent judiciary, media freedom and what PTI describes as “Haqiqi Azadi,” while seeking the release of Imran Khan from Adiala Jail.

The postponement comes amid disagreements within PTI and its opposition alliance over coordination and preparations. Meanwhile, authorities have introduced a series of security measures, including restrictions on public gatherings, Section 144 in Islamabad and additional security deployments.

The announcement has added another chapter to the ongoing political confrontation between PTI and the federal government.
